How Coaching Helped Me Find Myself Again (A Busy Mum’s Story)

Ever feel like you’re losing yourself in the chaos of life?

Maybe you’re a mum, juggling work, family, and everything in between. You love your people, but sometimes you wonder… what happened to me?

That’s exactly how one of my amazing clients felt before we started working together. Here’s her story—in her own words:

“I came across Emily by chance and at the right time. As a busy mum balancing a career, I was struggling to find space for myself.

The first message Emily sent felt like fate. We chatted and I instantly knew this was something I had to try. I could tell she was the person to help me believe in myself again.

From our very first session, I realised how much I needed someone to hold me accountable. Emily listens deeply and helps translate my thoughts into clarity, something I find hard to do myself. One lesson I have learnt so far is how to speak kindly to myself, to tune into that quiet inner voice and celebrate the small wins each day. They really do exist.

Thanks to Emily, each day I reflect on what I have achieved and write this down. I’m not perfect, there are days I skip it or feel like I have fallen off track. But having Emily there, she lifts me back up and reminds me it’s okay to have off days. She has helped me shift my mindset: to accept rest, to allow myself to be tired, and to deal with challenges in a more compassionate way.

Emily incorporates journalling with her work, something I never thought I could do. The sense of relief after writing things down is amazing, like lifting a weight off my shoulders and clearing space in my mind.

Coaching was something new to me, however, I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. It’s about reconnecting with who you are, remembering you’re not just a role, you’re a person with an identity that matters.”

Why does this matter?

If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. Coaching isn’t about being perfect, it’s about finding your way back to you, one small step at a time.

Curious if coaching could help you too?

I’m opening a few new coaching spots for women who want to feel more like themselves again.
